Into the Permaweb
The permaweb is a web3 platform that enables you to distribute web3 applications and sites permanently. The ecosystem is very early, but foundational elements are being constructed, if you would like to play in the sandbox, this guide will help you.
Step 1: Digital Wallet
The first thing you need is your keys and a digital wallet to put them in.
- https://arweave.app/add
- Click create new wallet
- Copy your passphrase on paper and put in a secure location
Step 2: Publish you first page
- https://pages.arweave.dev
- Click connect wallet and choose Arweave.App
- Click connect
- Enter your username
- Click New Permapage
- Type # Hello Permaweb! It’s [USERNAME]
- Click Publish
Step 3: Create your web3 profile
- https://pages.arweave.dev/#/account
- Edit profile
- Upload an avatar and background its free if each are under 100Kb
- Enter your social media links, etc
- Click Finish
- Then go to the pages view and click New Permapage
- Enter some information about yourself
- Click Advanced Options and toggle on profile
- And toggle on stamps
- Then click publish complete the title and description and submit
- On the pages view click link, you should see your profile on the permaweb
